The dream came true
The nursery first opened in 1994 situated at the Tracks Lane site, Billinge. In March 2011 Lorraine the current owner purchased the nursery to realise a life long dream.
Having felt disheartened whilst working in other nursery settings, Lorraine set out to transform Holly Tree to become a nursery were children would feel happy and loved. Her mission still to this this day is to work hard to ensure every child enjoys their time in a happy loving and nurturing environment, with staff who enjoy what they do and dedicated to the Holly Tree goals.
Each child is treated as I treat my own child, ensuring from the care to the food provided on a daily basis is always to a high standard.
Since 2011 and Lorraine has not only transformed Holly Tree Children’s Nursery but expanded to cover two sites including the original Tracks Lane site and now the Holly Tree Pre-School and Tracker site situated on St James’ Rd, Orrell, Wigan.

Why choose Holly Tree?
Firstly and probably the best reason is because it feels right for your child and you.
When looking round various nurseries it’s important to get a feel for a place. Whether it’s the staff, the environment or the children within a setting that gives you that comfortable feeling without feeling awkward or uneasy. At Holly Tree we always work hard to make everyone feel at ease, fostering an environment were parents feel able to ask questions and not feel pressured is vitally important.
Flexibility is important
Being a flexible setting is a big plus for us as a nursery, we try our up most to ensure the needs of the parents are adhered to. Accommodating their needs and the needs of children and parents is of paramount importance for us.
Convenience is a must
Convenience is another must for parents, our Pre-school site is adjacent to the three local schools in the area, making it easy when dropping off/picking up siblings from school.
Some parents choose our 0-2’s site as they say it is home from home situated in a private off the road setting.
Parents choose Holly Tree for a variety of reasons, for many our location is just perfect. We’re situated not too far from the M6 and A580 meaning we have parents who live in Orrell, Billinge, St Helens, Wigan, Beech Hill, Shevington, Parbold, Standish and Appley Bridge. If you commute to work each day heading for Manchester, Wigan, Liverpool, St Helens or any of the many surrounding districts Holly Tree Nursery could be the perfect choice for you and your child.
We’re open 7:30am until 6pm Monday to Friday.
Feedback from past and existing parents provides new parents with peace of mind, we’re always happy to share the feedback we receive.
